ENGLAND 2018- COULD IT LEAVE THE WRONG L

As the bidding to host Hanley Ramirez Jersey the 2018 World Cup becomes increasingly frenzied, the stories of ambitious plans for new stadiums are beginning to pour into the national media. Recent clubs to throw their their luxury Mulberry handbags into the ring include MK Dons, Plymouth and Bristol City. All clubs have plans to either build anew or expand existing grounds in their bid to entice the worlds biggest footballing event to their doorstep.Bristol will leave their Ashton Gate home and move into a new 40,000-seater stadium while Plymouth will double the capacity of Home Park. MK Dons must add another 18,000 seats to Tyler Thornburg Jersey their already sparsely-populated ground to reach the magical 40,000 capacity that FIFA require. Notably none of these clubs have an average attendance this season that is close to their current capacity. Even more worryingly their combined average attendance would not sell-out any of the proposed new developments.Hosting World Cup games would be a huge coup for all of these clubs and their ambition is not to be derided. But once champagne-quaffing dignitaries and samba football has gone then the domestic season will come again and clubs will be left with over- David Price Jersey sized, under-used white elephants. Areas outside of the Midlands, London and the North-West do deserve their chance to see the greatest football tournament on earth. But not to the detriment of the future of their club. The Football League is littered with examples of clubs who have over-reached to grab a a day in the sun only to realise it was pi sing it down all along. Darlington, under the oaf-some chairmanship of George Reynolds, built the 25,000 seater Reynolds Stadium (now the Darlington Arena) which now gloomily houses around 4,000 fans on match-days and was one of the primary reasons for the clubs administration this year; Leicester went into administration soon after moving Fred Lynn Jersey to the Walkers Stadium; Coventry has the ignominy of being the club with the worst average attendance in the league in terms of percentage of capacity; Southampton have endured bleak days since moving to St Marys Stadium. The list goes on and if some of the overly zealous bids for World Cup hosting rights are succe sful then it could expand. The decision of the FA to open their bidding proce s to areas outside of the major cities must be applauded. If the World Cup comes to England it should be a national event and not just a spectacle for those living in the big cities. But in striving to make sure the Blake Swihart Jersey World Cup reaches every part of the country they, and the clubs involved, must not make sure they are not jepordising the future of domestic teams.
