Tourists are welcome from February through November, although the busiest months are May through September. From June through August, the height of summer, temperatures can soar, and heavy downpours and flooding are possible. May through September tend to be a little milder, but it's important to keep in mind that the blue pools at the foot of the falls stay about 70 degrees Fahrenheit all year.

Supai, the Havasupai Reservation capital, has its own weather forecast on weather.com.

Havasu Falls Permit Requirements

Booking a campsite or lodge in advance will cover the cost of any and all permits, tags, fees, taxes, and entrance passes that may be needed for your trip. You must reserve a spot at a campsite or lodge via HavasupaiReservations.com in order to get a permit to see Havasu Falls.

However, on February 1, 2023, bookings for the upcoming dordle tourist season opened. Those who were unable to secure a reservation for Havasu Falls in 2023 but are still interested in going can check the official Havasupai reservation site every day at 8 a.m. (GMT-7) to see if any openings have been made available.

Note that in order to reserve a spot, you must first create an account on HavasupaiReservations.com; doing so in advance will allow you to rapidly jump on any openings that may arise. Bookings for many people may be made in the name of a single individual.

Picking Between an Outdoorsy Campsite and a Cozy Lodge

Camping or lodging at the Havasupai Lodge is required of all guests. Havasu Falls entrance permits are included with both bookings.

Each camping reservation for the year 2023 costs $395 for a total of four days and three nights at a campsite. You may set up your tent wherever you choose along a mile of Havasu Creek, on either side. Campers will appreciate the campground's proximity to two of the area's most popular attractionsHavasu Falls and Mooney Falls. The campground provides facilities such as bathrooms, picnic tables, and drinking water, but there are no allocated or assigned campsites. Alcoholic beverages and campfires are not allowed.

All lodge bookings are for a minimum of four days and three nights, the same as the campsite. With two queen beds and a nightly rate of $1,980, a room for a family of four would cost $495 per person. The resort is a two-mile (45-minute) trek from Havasu Falls and is situated in the Supai village. Travelers may stock up on provisions at the convenience shop and caf. As of right now, the Havasupai Lodge is closed, but they plan on opening in July of 2023.
